Over the past few weeks we’ve been visited by several experts on animal behaviour and well-being, and in some cases by the animals themselves! Mountain class had a visit from Petra Coghlin from Cats Protection, and from five Owls About Town including Boris, Dennis and Mo. Prof. Joulson from the University of Sussex also gave a talk to the school community about bees.
The children in Mountain class made owl masks and also wrote haiku poems about cats including this one:
Its favourite food
is fish pie
But a mouse will be a tasty
snack
For this shy
and gentle cat
Petra will choose one special haiku from Mountain class to use in publicity for Cats Protection.
