The inspection process was supportive and collaborative with acknowledgement from the ISI that the school had been through a challenging period of transition over the previous two years. Our much-loved Headteacher, Peter Murdock, retired in 2013 after 11 years of service and it took time to find a suitable candidate to lead the school forward. New Head Clare Eddison joined the school in September 2015; an exceptional teacher commended as ‘outstanding’, and with a long-term Buddhist practice. With Clare at the helm, the Dharma Primary School is building on its strong foundations and continues to improve and excel.
We were asked by the ISI and the Independent Schools Association (ISA) to respond to recommendations within the report. A clear management plan and a definitive strategy was implemented to ensure all ISI recommendations were met within our School Improvement Plan (SIP).
