This is wonderful opportunity for someone to join the school in the role of EY Teaching Assistant and develop, deepen and integrate their understanding of mindfulness in education.

Although our ethos is based on the Dharma, the teachings of the Buddha, we have a commitment is to excellence in teaching and work practice and do not therefore require applicants to be practising Buddhists.. The main purpose of the role is contribute to the provision of a high quality education within The Dharma School by providing support in our Early Years’ classes.

We are pleased to advertise a new position within our Early Years provision.  We are recruiting an EY TA for a minimum of 4 days a week.  This position will be term-time hours only (37 weeks a year) plus staff Inset Days & staff meetings.  The salary will be paid over 12 months and include a paid pro-rated holiday entitlement to be taken outside of term time.

Salary : Minimum of £8.35 / per hour

Hours : 8.30 – 15.30 approximately (dependent on duties and requirements)

Midday Supervisor,

Salary:  £8 per hour/ Hours of work – 11.55am until 1.10pm five days per week.

We are pleased to advertise a new position within our primary school and are recruiting a midday supervisor. This position will be term-time hours only (37 weeks a year) plus staff Inset Days.  The salary will be paid over 12 months and include a paid pro-rated holiday entitlement to be taken outside of term time. Any additional pay and hours would be agreed with the head teacher at the time and your flexibility would be appreciated during busy times.

Holiday Pay & Sick Pay are pro-rated according to the number of full days (or equivalent) that you work per year (i.e. two full days = 4 sick days).

Volunteer Trustees

We are looking for some additional volunteer members to join our Board of Trustees.  A connection/empathy with Buddhism is desirable, along with an interest in Mindfulness in Education. We are open to individuals with diverse experience but when selecting we may prioritise skill sets that are of particular benefit to the school in order to create a balance within the board. Currently we are looking for new Trustees with specific skills in the following areas:

FINANCE

FUNDRAISING

EDUCATION (an ex head teacher / ex primary school teacher)
