Registered with the Charities Commission in 1992, the Dharma School Trust was established to support the provision and advancement of a quality academic education combined with the development of practical wisdom based upon Buddhist principles for children and young people.
The Dharma Primary School appreciates donations to support its work and aims. Current projects for which we are raising funds:
- A bursary fund enabling us to give financial assistance to families in need wishing to attend the school.
- The development of a children’s meditation programme to be taken into other schools.
The school also raises funds for the Bodong Project through which we support the education and welfare of a group of young monks in Nepal who are being educated and trained to assist in the revival of the ancient Tibetan tradition of Bodong.
There are also a number of other outreach projects supported through this project. Further information about the project can be found at http://pema-dorjee.org/projects/education/
If you would like to make a donation to any of these projects please click on the DONATE button below. We ask when making a donation to please specify which project you are wishing to support.
If you are a UK taxpayer Gift Aiding your donations increases the funds as we receive 28p in every pound at no extra cost to yourself. For a Gift Aid Form or if you would like to donate regularly by Standing Order or wish any further information please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your support.
We are experimenting with using crowdfunding as a way of raising money for school projects and our first venture is an eco-library! The shed next to Sunflower (with the tarpaulin on the roof) we hope to replace with this new building, which will also be a space for contemplation, smaller group sessions and yoga. Look out for our social media posts on Facebook and Twitter which we hope you will share across your networks. Please offer your support and tell friends, family and business contacts!
